What is CR-39?
CR-39 is the most popular optical plastic in the world. The name comes from "Columbia Resin #39" – the 39th formula tried by scientists at PPG Industries in 1940. Originally developed for military applications during World War II, it quickly became the standard for eyeglass lenses.
